How to Register in SSS Online?
Skip the lines now, and trust the technology! But before we dig deeper on the step by step procedure, you have to remember a few things.
First, it is highly recommended to use the Internet Explorer 11 browser instead of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Based on our trials, the SSS portal worked best and faster using the Internet Explorer 11.
On the other hand, you can still use Google Chrome especially if you’re not really mindful of the time spent online.
Here are the steps on how to register your SSS number online and get yourself a profile on the online portal:
Step 1: Visit the SSS online registration website:
The first thing you need to do is to go to the SSS website member.sss.gov.ph/members. When you get to the page, you have to click on the button “Member” then click the link that says “Register in My.SSS”
Once you have clicked on the link, you have to be ready with the following information to make your registration easier and faster:
- Savings Account Number / Citibank Cash Card / UPB Quick Card / UMID – ATM Savings Account Number that is registered in SSS
- SSS Registered Mobile Number
- UMID Card (if you have one)
- Employer ID Number or Household Employer ID Number
- Paid PRN (Payment Reference Number) or Payment Receipt Transaction Number
- Date of Loan with Load Balance
- Cheque number of SSS monthly pension
Step 2: Fill up all the fields in the SSS online form:
When you’re ready with the information listed above, you can now proceed to filling up the Online Member User ID Registration. Here’s what the registration page looks like:
You have to make sure that you leave no blanks, especially on the required fields with asterisks. If you don’t have a middle name, you can leave it blank.
Also, make sure to double check all of the information provided because incorrect information and even misspelled words means that you need to request a member data change. To skip this hassle, double checking your information should always be done.
When you’re all set, enter the CAPTCHA code and tick the check box for “I accept the Terms of Service”. Then, you can now click on the submit button to register your account. Wait for an email confirmation to confirm the successful registration of your SSS online account.
Step 3: Check your registered email address
Now that you have filled out all the required information for your online registration, all you need to do is wait for the email confirmation after 30 minutes.
This waiting time is necessary for SSS to check if your information and data are correct based on their records.
Once verified, you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. The message will contain an activation link including your user ID. When you click on the link, it will redirect you to the portal to activate your online account.
Step 4: Have your My.SSS account activated
You have received your email from [email protected] and now, it’s time to activate your account! Make sure to activate your account as soon as you receive the email because the activation link will expire after 5 days.
Once you have clicked on the link, you will be redirected to a page where you need to set your password. You will also have to re-type your password to confirm that they match. Before you set your password, here are some of the requirements you need to follow:
- 8 to 20 alphanumeric password
- First character should be an alphabet
- Special characters are not allowed
- Password must be different from the User ID
It is also important to set your password into something that you will easily remember. When you are all set, you can now click on the submit button. Once the two passwords match, you can now enter your log in details on the login page.

Here’s a list of all the online services that you can do at My.SSS portal website:
Update your SSS Membership Personal Information
In case you need to change your address, contact details or other SSS information, you can have it updated through the online portal.
This saves you from the hassle of filling out a change of data request form at any of the SSS branches.
You can also check all your information on the Member Info Page to see all the data that you filled out on the registration form.
It will also show your employer history including all the employee ID numbers, reporting dates, and date of employment.
SSS Contributions
If you already forgot how much you have already contributed to SSS (especially if you have been paying for years already), you can easily check the number and total amount of your contributions on the portal too.
This is probably one of the most important and convenient feature of the website because with just a few clicks, your total contributions will be available at your fingertips.
Aside from the number of contributions, you can also see the dates when you have paid your contributions or not if you’re a voluntary member (paying for yourself). If you’re currently employed, you’ll see how much your employer has been paying SSS for your contributions.
Payment Reference Number
Since we talked about being a voluntary member, you must be aware that you have to generate a Payment Reference Number to have your contributions paid through partner payment channels. Through My.SSS, you can easily generate a PRN to pay for your monthly SSS contributions.
This is also applicable to Overseas Filipino Workers to allow them to pay their contributions even when they are on the other side of the world.
The best part is that SSS now offers real time posting of the payments so you can check your contributions right after you have paid them.
