19 Philippine credit cards with zero annual fee

Updated by

Who doesn’t want free stuff? Well, everyone loves anything that doesn’t come at a cost. And when it comes to credit cards, the same thing holds true.

So in this article, we will talk about credit cards that are issued by banks with a very attractive catch: there is no annual or monthly membership fee.

Credit card annual membership fee

A credit card is one of the cards given by banks (aside from prepaid cards, gift cards, etc.), and one of the different bank accounts aside from time deposit, savings account, savings account for kids, checking accounts, etc. However, having one is a privilege because not everyone who applies for one can get it. Thus it can be considered a privilege.

Credit card annual dues

That privilege comes with a cost in the form of the membership fee. Specifically, it is an annual or monthly recurring payment. Cardholders pay the bank in order to either start or continue using a credit card.

But it is also important to bear in mind that just because they come without this one particular string attached that they may be the right one for you.

Out of 183 cards (that were surveyed) out there, only 19 or about 10% of them offers zero annual fee so your choices can be limited.

More than that, the best fit for you may be a plastic card that may come with a fee but suits your need for credit and perks such as rewards, rebate, cash back, travel miles, etc.

How much is the membership fee?

The membership fee ranges anywhere between ₱300 to ₱12,000.

Nonetheless, below are 19 credit cards in the market that waived this financial duty. The list is updated as February 15, 2021.

For a break-down and tips on how to avoid them, you can read credit card fees.

Banks may change their policies without prior notice. Please consider reaching out to the bank for the latest and most updated inforrmation.
